Andrea N. L. Zimmerman

Andrea N. L. Zimmerman has been practicing law since 2001. She serves as Of Counsel to Nahon, Saharovich and Trotz. She began developing and refining her skills for negotiations and argument prior to law school, by double majoring in Philosophy and Rhetoric and Communication Studies. After graduating from Drake University with Summa Cum Laude honors, Andrea worked at a litigation consulting firm. There she aided in the defense of multimillion dollar cases. 

After graduating from St. Louis University School of Law in 2001, she began her career in southeast Missouri, representing clients in criminal and civil matters. Andrea has had a wide array of legal experience representing clients in many different areas of the law. At all times, she has been prepared and has exhibited exemplary trial skills. Once described by a client’s family member after a jury trial as a “wolf in sheep’s clothing”, Andrea always goes to bat for her clients, aggressively and zealously defending them against unfair accusations.

During her early years of practice, where she advocated for her clients both inside and outside the courtroom, she also taught public speaking at southeast Missouri State University. 

After practising law in southeast Missouri, Andrea accepted a nontraditional legal opportunity with the global organization of Thomson Reuters Westlaw. There, Andrea travelled throughout Missouri and Arkansas, training lawyers on how to conduct legal research. Andrea worked with large law firms and trained everyone from paralegals and new associates to long-term partners who represented multimillion-dollar corporations.

Even though Andrea enjoyed teaching lawyers the subtleties of legal research, which is the backbone of a legal practice, she missed her time away from the courtroom. Being passionate in the practice of law, Andrea is back representing people in both criminal and civil cases once again in southeast Missouri. Nahon, Saharovich and Trotz is fortunate to have Andrea serve as Of Counsel in the Cape Girardeau office.
